In recent years, NFTs that are linked to entities have been attracting attention around the world.
One of the contents that PREMA is focusing on is alcoholic beverages.
In September 2022, a bottle of 2007 champagne with a digital art design by BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club: a world-renowned NFT project by YugaLab) was sold for US$2.5 million (about 342.7 million yen).
Purchasers were given the actual bottle and the same NFT as the BAYC character on the bottle.
It was listed on OpenSea as an NFT available for purchase for 2,500 ETH (Ethereum: one of the crypto assets), but due to the volatile price to the legal tender ratio of ETH, the transaction took place using dollars.
This price set a new record for the world’s most expensive champagne, setting an all-time high for a champagne transaction.
In January 2021, Hennessy, a French cognac house under LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), will sell an NFT tied to a limited edition bottle of Hennessy for $226,000 (70.47 ETH).
The NFT is tied to a physical bottle, and the user gains ownership of the physical bottle upon purchase of the NFT. The NFT can also be bought and sold, and ownership of the bottle also would be transferred to the owner of the NFT.
A similar effort is being undertaken by major cognac manufacturer Martell, which is issuing a limited-edition NFT of brandy in July 2022 in collaboration with the Metaverse game THE SANDBOX.
In this way, projects linking NFT with alcoholic beverages such as beer, whiskey, and sake, which have substance, are being born one after another around the world.

When this is replaced by a brandy NFT, for example on the PREMA Marketplace, you select a keg from the site and purchase it as you would when shopping on the Internet. A QR code is then displayed for the cask you have selected. By simply scanning the QR code with PREMA on a smartphone, anyone can easily become an NFT and a keg owner.
